There was another good turnout of Clonliffe athletes for this morning’s Dublin 5 K Road Championships incorporated into the Rathfarnham 5K, with over 20 black and amber athletes making the trip south of the border!
The men took Dublin silver behind the hosts Rathfarnham AC. The scoring 4 were Mahad Mohamed Egaal, who was also 2nd junior, in 13th in a time of 15.20. Mahad had just caught Sean Doran on the line, Sean was 14th in 15.21. Next in was Jack Maughan 17th (15.27) and Cillian Keegan 23rd (15.42), Cillian was also 4th junior and indeed ran a new PB.
The women’s team placed 6th, Sarah Bateson leading the team home in a new PB of 18.18, next in was Aoife O’Reilly (19.01), Hannah Browne (19.09) and Orla Deignan (22.10). Orla picked up Dublin W50 bronze
