It was out to Tallaghtthis evening for tonight’s 2nd Dublin graded meet of the season. There was a handful of the clubs athletes who travelled for tonight meet. Alannah Cooley was third in grade A of the 1500 in a time of 4.56.36. In the men’s 1500 series Sean Carrigg was 5th in grade A in a time of 4.14.13 with Jarlaith Jordan 8th (4.16.28). In grade C Eoghan Murphy was 2nd (4.27.47) with Niall Sherlock 7th (4.46.06). Finally in the night’s 5000 race Declan Power was 4th in a time of 16.08.45 with Thomas Sherlock 5th in 16.09.70.
Monday night (May 12th) in the USA David Fitzmaurice continued to race himself back to fitness and with his third outing over 5000 has gone sub 15 (Fitzi made the comment that this was his first time to go sub 15 in years). At a meet in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania he placed 3rd in his heat, (from some 65 starters!) in 14.54.88.
