Monday memories: Santry the Mecca of Irish athletics

As the completion of the magnificent new Mondo track at Morton Stadium is imminent today seems an opportune time to look back on the past 65 years of the home of Irish athletics. From 1958: the Clonliffe Harriers Stadium, to the John F. Kennedy Stadium, Santry Stadium to the Morton Stadium – the name may have changed but Santry has always been the Mecca of Irish athletics. below are significant photos and an article penned by Peter McDermott.
