This weekend is full of excitement with the national senior indoor championships taking place at the NIA, Abbottstown on Saturday and Sunday. There are still some tickets available for Saturday’s session however Sunday’s is a sell-out.
From a Clonliffe perspective the men’s 1500 will undoubtedly prove to be one of the highlights as defending champion and Olympic 1500 semifinalist Cathal Doyle takes on national 1500 and mile record holder Andrew Coscoran (Star of the Sea) and up-and-coming Clonliffe stars of the future Sean Cronin and Lorcan Benjacar. Likewise Marcus Lawler will provide great Clonliffe interest in the men’s 200 and in the women’s 1500 Emily Bolton and Lorraine O’Connor will provide plenty of excitement for the Clonliffe contingent.
