More to look forward to today with the men’s 400 holding particular interest for the Clonliffe Harrier. The final which takes place at 1:45 PM features the returning Brian Gregan qualified yesterday courtesy of a win in his heat and likewise Luke Lennon Ford who also won his heat. Race favourite is probably Cillin Greene (GCH) although Cathal Crosbie (Ennis TC) clearly can’t be ruled out. Today will also see Leo Morgan in the 60, hopefully Leo can continue his superb indoor season which saw him set a new Clonliffe Harriers club record a few weeks back. The action gets underway in Abbottstown at 11 AM and is live streamed: Day 2 HERE
First out of the blocks fittingly were the 60m sprinters first in was young Anna Heavey clocking 8 48 and then the men with all 3 successfully negotiating the heats, Leo Morgan 6.93 Chris Sibanda 7.00 and Keith Pike 7.09, and are through to the semis.

In the 60 semi 1 Leo Morgan 2nd 6.81 Chris Sibanda 3rd 6.85. Semi 3 Keith Pike 3rd 7.03. Leo and Chris both go on to the final, with Keith just missing out.
In a pulsating 400 final as expected Cillin Greene (GCH) took gold, Brian Gregan battled like a true warrior to grab bronze with 47.85 with Luke Lennon Ford 5th 48.22.
The 60 final saw Leo Morgan taking national bronze 6.75 with Chris Sibanda clocking 6.90 for 7th.
Overall not a bad Nationals for the club with Marcus Lawler 200 silver, Leo’s 60 bronze, Brian’s 400 bronze and a number of additional finalists.
