New Club 1500 Indoor record for Cathal Doyle, plus track round up

Cathal Doyle set a new club 1500 record in Stockholm today. Cathal finished in 3rd place, his time of 3.40.66 bettering Niall Bruton’s 1997 record of 3.40.77 and more importantly gathering in some precious ranking points.

Also today at the IFAM Gent Indoors in the 60 Leo Morgan was 5th in his heat in 6.95 with Chris Sibanda 6th in 7.06.

In the USA Craig Duffy, who is spending a year in Brockport College, New York State, took a 200 win (22.55) to bag maximum points for his team in the Brockport Multi and Invitational Meet as Brockport took 2nd overall. Duffy has also achieved qualification for the AAARTFC Regionals in New York City in March. Note this was on a flat track not a banked one.

Missed from last weekend was Sean Kay’s excellent 5000 indoors at the Armory in New York a 4th place finish in 14.09.56. Also Davey Davitt at the same venue won the high school 800 in 1.58.95.
