Last Thursday evening despite a heavy downpour 40 athletes assembled to take part in the McCarrick Plate in Malahide Castle. The race, 2½ miles, featured one lap of Malahide Castle Demesne.
The first to arrive home with a strong finish was Joe Fowler, in second place was Julie Larkin with David Hanley in third. The full race result is outlined below.
In a presentation after the race Joe Fowler received the McCarrick Plate from Paddy Marley. A big thank you to all those who marshalled the course and those who officiated at the start/finish.
The next race, the fourth in the current series, is the Mick Murphy 5 Mile which takes place in Malahide Castle at 8pm on Thursday 18th May 2023. All those who competed in the McCarrick Plate will be pre-entered for the Mick Murphy.
