In a weekend of 5K s, as the season winds to a halt, Ian Guiden took in a low-key 5 K road race in Dundalk, the Fr. John Mulligan 5k, and had a solo gun to flag win over tough enough course in 15.05, winning by almost 3 minutes and breaking the course record by over a minute. David Brady was 7th in Fridays Rathkenny 5K in 17.36. On Wednesday night, August 14, Sean Doran was 5th in the Castle Pollard 5K in a time of 15.50.
