A select crew of Clonliffe Masters were in the West for today`s National Masters held with the Intermediates in Tuam today. The team, however, was struck by a host of withdrawals through injury and illness. The sole medal taken back to Santry came courtesy of that old stager Pat Bonass who invariable delivers on the National stage whether on the country or track. Today was no exception as Pat took a hard earned O/70 bronze.
The men`s O/50 team of Philip O`Doherty 91st overall, 12th in age group, Pat Byrne 147th, Tom Monks 152nd, Liam Hennessy 166th and Anthony O`Brien 188th finished just out of the medals in 4th place. Philip O`Doherty picked up inter county team gold as part of the winning Dublin team.
Finally on the roads Sergiu Ciobanu finished 2nd in the Enniscorthy 10k in 30.50.
