Day 4 of the Dublin Juvenile track and field brought the Clonliffe crew to Irishtown today. Results to hand confirm the continued dominant form of Rebecca Fitzsimons in the U/16 sprints, as she complete a golden treble by the 80H and 200. The 200 in particular was most rewarding as no less than half of the final field were Clonliffe athletes, with Rebecca leading home Success Osuoha in 2nd place with Jessica 5th and Rapha 6th. For good measure Rebecca also took long jump bronze.
In the field events, despite the downpour, great efforts from the club`s athletes yielding more titles and medals. Jonais winning the Dublin U/13 shot and placing 3rd in the javelin and at the other end of the age spectrum Justinas Gerdvillis winning U/19 javelin with Conor Byrne 2nd.
Finally a Dublin title for Thomas Ward in winning the U/19 3000 sc.
