Weekend round up: Friday, July 20th Sergiu Ciobanu was 1st in the Bob Burke 4 mile in Fermoy/Grange, Co Cork in 19.49. Saturday, July 21 Roy Stoneley took in the Rhode 5K, Co Offaly running 18.41 for 52nd. Missed on Wednesday night, July 19 was the BHAA Dublin City Council 5K where Sean Doran finished 2nd in 16.38.
Sunday 22nd: the national 10 mile championships took place in the Phoenix Park. 1st home for Clonliffe was Eoin Taggart in 8th position in a time of 52.23, 44th Ger Kirwan (58.20), Sean McGarrity 84th (61.28), these were the scoring 3 on the Clonliffe team that placed 6th. Others: Tom Moran 71.00, Dave Comiskey 73.32,Diarmuid Doyle 76.25, Joseph Fowler 77.14, Ann Lyons 77.19, Orla Deignan the 8.50, Liam Ward 78.46, Aine McCann 83.08.
