It was a quiet enough weekend for Clonliffe athletes.Liam Roarty was in action for Sunderland Harriers in yesterday`s Sherman Cup, South Shields. Liam had a very solid run indeed placing 28th (a field of 464 started!) and 4th scorer in 32.34. A measurer of Liam`s improvement over these past 12 months is that his time yesterday was almost a minute faster than his time from last year.

At the Cork County Championships held in Carrigadrohid, Macroom Brian MacMahon made a most welcome return on Sunday finishing in 4th place in 35.16 for 10,000. Also on Sunday at the Donadea 10k Rachel Wisdom was 6th woman in 40.38.
