Rolus Olusa added the national indoor heptathlon title to his CV over the weekend. The combined events took place in Athlone on Saturday and Sunday. Rolus enjoyed a two-day battle with Shane Aston (Trim AC) but emerged victorious at the end of the competition courtesy of firsts in the 60 (7.21), long jump (6.97), high jump (1.80), pole vault (4.20), 60 H (8.36) and was second in the shot (11.05) and 1000 (3.18.27).
Natalia Gill competed in the junior women’s combined event taking bronze. This was a one-day event on Saturday, Natalia recorded the following results: high jump – 1.30, 60 H – 12.21, long jump – 3.75, shot – 6.34, 800 – 2.53.71.
