David Mansfield was the winner in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork of today`s GR8KM race, an 8k race, in 24.54. Also today, and funny enough also over 8k, Aaron Hanlon was 4th in the Streets of Galway road race in 24.14.
Getting the Dublin Rock `n`Roll National Half Marathon weekend off to a start was the 5k race today where Efren Giddy was 3rd (16.20).
Also congratulations to George Maybury who was admitted to the Police and Firemen `s Games Athletes Hall of Fame in Los Angeles.
