Brian MacMahon had a win on the roads today winning the Lucan Harriers Tom Byrne 5k Race in 15.26, a winning margin of 20 plus seconds. Also on the road on Sunday Sergiu Ciobanu got back in action after his great run in Hamburg of 2.17.11 to win the Annelville 10k in Clonmel in 32.19.
At yesterday`s IMC Meet in Greystones in pretty awful conditions, lashing rain and strong blustery wind, Ian Guiden finished 2nd in the 3,000 in 8.29.53. 2nd also for Eleanor Alexander in the 1500 (4.32.02). In the 800 Andrew Jenkinson ran 1.54, Kris Valters 1.51/2, Mounir Bouzzine just under 2 minutes. Stuart Roche was 3rd in the 100b in 11.8, Chris Russell ran in the 300m and Dylan Gibbons ran in the 400m. (official results difficult to find…IMC Facebook?)
Under the radar Becky Woods pb`d in the 3,000 on Monday night, May 5th, at the opening meet at Lifford AC`s track in county Donegal finishing 4th in 9.29.34.
