Round up: Taggart 3rd in Ratoath, plus more (updated)

With the Dublin Marathon very much on the horizon there was a good contingent of Clonliffe athletes in this morning’s Ratoath half marathon, held obviously in unseasonably hot conditions. The Clonliffe crew of almost 20 was led home in 3rd place by Eoin Taggart (72.04). Others: Ray Dunne 1:20.08, Ger Kirwan 1:23.07, Tom Griffin 1:31.45, Philip O’Doherty 1:34.56, Alex Eustace 1:39.20, Richie Barr 1:40.42, Mary Ketterer 1:42.04, Rachel Eustace 1:42.52, Gerald Walsh 1:47.48, Alan Hughes 1:49.14, Philip Richards 1:49.33, Carl Fleming 1:49.39, Eoin Rafter 1:55.59, Pat Devitt 1:57.48, David Doran 1:59.31, Yvonne McDonagh 2: 00.54, Ciara Daly 2:13.59.

During the week Lee Maginnis was 24th, 1st M 45 in the Mill Hill Mile, Northern Ireland (6.44).

Overseas today, Saturday Declan Power was 1st M50, 49th overall in the Stockholm Half Marathon, hot and hilly, in 76.42.

Saturday evening in County Louth at the Dromiskin 5k Sean Doran was 3rd in 15.35. Also Diarmuid Doyle 22.06 and Carl Fleming 30.24.

Sunday September 10th at the Nuneaton Open End of season T & F in England Marcus Lawler was 2nd in the 200 in 21.58 and 2nd in the 100 10.67.
