Updated Round up: Sanchez 1st, mid week Graded Club Record

The weekend round up starts in the US where Graham Mahon continued his come back for Clarke Crusaders over the weekend in the MCC Mid West Track and Field Championships at Grand University View, Des Moines, placing 10th in the 800 (2.04.81).

Closer to home Kerri Page ran 21.12 at Saturday`s Le Cheile 5k Road Race.

Even closer to home the results of Wednesday`s Dublin Graded Meet in Morton Stadium are finally in.  Showing a fine win in the women`s hammer competition by Caoimhe Morris 45.22m in a new Clonliffe Club Record.

Graded results Morton Stadium Aprril 30th: 100m 5th Stuart Roche 11.72, 8th Isreal Ibanu 11.8. 800m B 8th Tom Sherlock 2.07.56, D 1st Shane Merrigan 2.12.31, 4th Alex Gibbons 2.19.09, Eric McGovern 2.24.09. 3000m Ciaran McCarthy 9.28.23, Josh Stubbs 9.46.67, Liam Roarty 9.54.03. Hammer 3rd Simon Galligan 49.16m. Women`s hammer: 1st Caoimhe Morris 45.22 and, commencing yet another track and field season, in the women`s hammer the one and only Frances Mansfield 6th 18.12.

At the Great Limerick Half Marathon on Sunday Barbara Sanchez had a good day winning the women`s race in 80.29.

Also on Sunday Ernie Ramsey was 7th (35.47) in the Boyne 10k with David Brady 8th 35.51, clearly a great inter Clonliffe battle there. Hans De Raeymaeker went to Drumish, County Longford for a tough 10 Mile, The Cairn Hill Challenge where he place 4th 66.47. Finally at the Tallaght 5K Road race Sarah Doyle ran 23.22.

Bank holiday Monday`s action was in Dublin`s Phoenix Park, the Arc 10k Race over a tough course saw two Clonliffe men well up, Conor Delaney 5th in 36.09 and Anthony Flannery 9th in 36.52.
