At last night’s Streets of Athboy 5 K road race Colm Rooney was a comfortable winner coming home in a nippy 14.45 almost 45 seconds clear of second-place. Sean Doran finished fifth in a time of 15.55.
Missed from last weekend was a fine run by Ailish Malone, her best race in her comeback to date, in Bankholiday Monday’s 10k road race in Dun Laoghaire. Ailish finished 29th overall and 1st woman in the DLR 10k in a time of 38.12.
This morning the Rock and roll/National half Marathon took place. Sergiu Ciobanu was top Clonliffe athlete 4th in 67.19. (No sign of official results so unless you want to text yours 0879599888?)
