Stephen Scullion placed 43rd in last night’s IAAF World Championship Marathon in Doha in 2.21.32. Running a conservative race Scullion held back over the opening KMs and then worked his way through from 65th at 5k to a top 50 place. The World Champion is Lelise Desisa (ETH) 2.10.40. Scullion was relatively pleased posting on his twitter account: “We’re 43rd in the World this time. I think I can do a little better than that next time.. it won’t be easy, but I’m ok with that.”
