On the track the BMC Sportcity Grand Prix took place in Manchester last night. Clonliffe had two athletes racing, both in the 800. Mark McDonald put in a season`s best of 1.56.84 placing 9th in the F race, while Eoin Pierce ran 1.57.22, also a season`s best, finishing 7th in the D race.
On the subject of season`s best missed last weekend, May 4th in the US, at the Tallahassee Seminole Twilight Meet Jeremy Phillips clocked 2 sb`s : 100 of 10.42 to place 2nd and over 200 21.26 for 5th place.
Today, Sunday at the Sportsworld 5 Mile in Terenure: 47th David Brady 29.19, Jean Carr, 1st W55, 35.10, Aine McCann 36.30, Mandy McMenamy 40.00, Vivienne Byrne 43.19. In Newbridge House at the Run Dublin Run Declan Grant was 15th (44.07).
