Sherlock top tens in Dunboyne 5 Miler, Bermingham does likewise

The latest BHAA Road Race of the season was last night`s Government Services 5 Mile in Duunboyne, a race that attracted a big field of almost 500 runners.

First Clonliffe athlete home was prolific racer Thomas Sherlock in 7th place in 26.38, followed closely by equally prolific racer running his 4th race in 8 days Sean Doran 12th in 26.51. Ernie Ramsey placed 21st (27.22), Davy Byrne 24th (27.40), Conor Keane 38th (28.49), Kiernan Murphy 30.14, next in and 1st O/40 woman was Maura Matthews (32.09) with Maurice McCrohan on her coat tails (32.10) and Emma Cooper 34.52. A top 10 also last night for Mark Bermingham in the Star of the Sea 5k in Stamullen, Co. Meath 10th, 3rd O/40, in 17.39. Jeremy Chapman was 21st in 18.15.
