The National Masters track and field championships took place in Tullamore today bringing the curtain down on the track and field season. Matt Slattery was the star of the show in the Clonliffe colours cleaning up as he captured all three sprints titles in the O/65 category: 100 in 13.85, 200 in 27.95 and 400 in 64.75.
Another athlete to once again deliver the goods was Geraldine Reilly as she took her 3rd 800 title in a row winning O/50 in 2.38.67. Ger also took silver in the 400 (66.90)
The 4th Clonliffe master title of the day came courtesy of Declan Power as he won a keenly contested O/45 5000 in 15.47.55. Also in the O/45 grouping Ronan Gately was 3rd in the 110h in a time of 21.21, Ronan also went in the 400 where after a 60.02 run he was 7th. Finally Pat Bonass was also in the medals placing 3rd in the O/70 5000 (22.59.22).
