Clonliffe are delighted to announce details of the Juvenile spring series. This years Spring Series has been expanded to include the following clubs: Clonliffe Harriers A.C., Skerries A.C., Lusk A.C., Portmarknock A.C. and Celtic A.C.
The series is for athletes from U/8 to U/16 and will be held over three rounds at 3 different venues including in the now world famous Skerries Beach Race.
The dates and venues are as follows:
Sunday March 30th (11 a.m.) – Morton Stadium Santry hosted by Clonliffe Harriers.
Sunday April 6th – Skerries Beach Races – hosted by Skerries A.C. (10.30 a.m.).
Sunday April 27th (11 a.m.) – to be hosted by Portmarknock A.C. – venue to be confirmed.
In recent years this series has proved to be very successful particularly at introducing some of the younger athletes to competition in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. The idea is that the whole event starts on time, one race runs immediately after conclusion of the previous one and that it is a short snappy Meet concluded within an hour.
Round 1 hosted by Clonliffe will be on the track in the Morton Stadium and the race distances are as follows:
U/8s – 300m
U/10 – 500m
U/12 – 600m
U/14 – 800m
U/16 – 1000m
Seperate races for boys & girls when possible
Clonliffe Harriers look forward to welcoming our friends from Skerries A.C., Celtic A.C., Lusk A.C. and Portmarknock A.C. to the Morton Stadium on March 30th.
