St Patrick`s Day itself: Balbriggan 10k saw a super 3rd place finish for Karl Nolan (35.53). Whilst in the half marathon Alan Hughes ran 1.33.35 and Alison O`Sullivan 1.43.54.
On Sunday the 19th the big race was the MSB St. Patrick`s Festival 5k on the streets of Dublin where Cathal Doyle had a very good run placing 2nd, 5 seconds off MSB`s John Coghlan, Cathal recording a time of 15.18. Also in this race 34th Sean Doran (17.23), Emma Cooper 19.11, Caroline Hynes 28.42 and Deirdre Acheson 37.01.
Daragh Cullen was 25th in the Lismullen 10k today in 42.27.
Across the water good to see Stephen Scullion back racing. At the Reading Half Marathon he finished 16th clocking a time of 68.17 today. Sarah McCormack in that same half race 78.22. Also Liam Roarty ran a 10k PB of 33.23 in today`s Eastleigh 10k placing 25th from a field of over 2,300 starters.
There was a Clonliffe win this weekend courtesy of David Mansfield in the Dungarvan 10k in a time of 31.52.
