Stateside news: Duffy sub 22 200, plus more

Great news from the US this evening. Craig Duffy and the Brockport team headed to the Valentine invitational meet in Boston and Craig once again put on a great performance. Starting his day with a 7.03 60m, Craig switched his focus to the 200 and broke the magical 22 second barrier to run 21.84. This places him as 10th Irish man this year as well as putting himself in the SUNY Brockport hall of fame with a new school record. This performance also puts him into the Clonliffe top 10 all time list. Craig has now secured his place at the NCAA DIII final in Virgina Beach next month.

Also today in the US Emma Campbell made a return to racing taking in the Rising Sun 5k Road race in Florida where she took a podium position a fine 2nd place woman.

Sean Kay placed 2nd for Yale at the David Henry Valentine Invitational at the University of Boston over 3000 in a fine 8.06.35.

Davey Davitt was in the High School 600 at the prestigious Milrose Games in NYC where he ran an excellent 600 winning in 1.19.98 putting him 4th on the 2024 Irish rankings for the distance.
