Clonliffe U/23 javelin thrower Stephen Rice was in recording breaking form at today`s European Throwing Cup in Leiria, Portugal. Stephen in a superb series of throws went in excess of 65m on three occasions including a massive one on his 4th throw: 68.31m. That was almost three meters further than his pb and club record of 65.48. That new club record also placed him 4th in today`s U/23 Group B competition and places him 7th on the Irish all time list. Stephen`s series was: 64.96, 64.57, 65.27, 68.31, 65.52, 63.52.
