Eugenia Bateson: Friday 9th January saw a small group make their way to DSD for Day 2 of the Dublin Juvenile Championships. Matei Ursachi took the Gold in the 1500m in 4.28.54. Sean Cronin took Gold in the U18 Boys 1500m in a time of 3:57.36 with Lorcan Benjacar taking the Silver in 4:09.08. Devan Morrissey also competed as he returns to competition with a fine run finishing in 4:45.17.
Saturday was the turn of the sprinters and Steeplechase. Jack Quinn took the U17 SC title in a time of 7:34.83. Lorcan Benjacar triumphed in the U18 Boys in a time of 6:16.67 with Tom Breslin in third in 6:55.92
In the 400m Rebecca Walsh was 2nd in a time of 1:02.04. Chris Lynch finished 4th in his U18 400m in 53:12. In the High Jump Chris came 2nd with a jump of 1.60. Emily finished 4th in her 200m in a time of 28:27.
Sunday was again a sprinters day out. In the 100m, Emily Jachna ran a 13:44 in her heat giving her to big Q through to the final where she finished 4th in 13:29 with a PB. Evan Storey finished 7th in his Final in 12.34
