Clonliffe athletes were in action today all round Europe. Gary O`Hanlon ran another excellent Marathon in Berlin recording a time of 2.19.06, only some 13seconds off his 2.18.53 best set in winning last year`s National in Dublin. Gary was also 1st M40. Niall Gorman ran 2.50.15, Matt McGuinness 2.59.23. There was also the small matter of Kipchoge`s World Record of 2.01.39!!

At the World Master`s Championships in Malaga, today saw the non stadia Half Marathon run in pretty hot and humid condition`s Philip O`Doherty filled 3rd spot on the Irish M55 team (along with Paul Moran, Tommy Hughes & Michael Cornyn) that took a fantastic team bronze. Philip recorded a time of 1.32.32.
Finally on our European news round up at the World Mountain Running Championships in Andorra today former National Cross Country Champion Sarah McCormack finished in 18th place.
