A truly brilliant cross country squad day took place in Santry today as part of the Clonliffe preparations for the Nationals in 4 weeks time. Over 50 athletes from juniors to seniors took part along with the coaching team. The morning started with warm up for the group followed by a pyramid session for the senior men overseen by Peter, Gerry and Alan, the senior and junior women did a session of 1500s with Brian and Noel and the junior men a similar session with Stephen in Santry Park, the venue for November 21st’s Nationals. Following training a lunch, complying with Covid regulations, was enjoyed by all followed by some words from the Club Captain and a great talk by Mark Kenneally. Next up for the squad is the Dublin Cross Country championships, hosted by Clonliffe in Trinity Sports Grounds, Santry Avenue on Sunday the 31st.
