Lorcan Benjacar took U/18 1500 National silver today in Tullamore. Lorcan clocked a fine time of 4.03.12 in a tight finish and was a mere half a second off gold, won by Belgooly AC’s Eoghan O’Connor (4.02.64). A fantastic performance and just reward for the hard work Lorcan has put in over these past couple of years. In the U/17 1500 Matei Ursachi was 7th (4.12.40). Matei of course had placed 5th in the 3000 only 24 hours earlier.
