The extraordinary Gary O`Hanlon 2nd in Cork City Marathon

Extraordinary indeed, Gary O`Hanlon eight days after winning the Newry Marathon finished 2nd in today`s Cork City Marathon. Gary finished in 2.28.52 only 20 odd seconds behind Polish winner Bartoza Mazerski. This was Gary`s 4th marathon in a matter of 5 weeks, and his 5th of the year begining in Connemara on April 7th, Limerick May 5th, Kildare May 12th, Newry May 24th and Cork today. Plus of course the odd road race thrown in to keep Gary sharp! Brian MacMahon continues his comeback from injury and placed 3rd in the Cork Half Marathon in 70.28.
