Former Clonliffe stallworth Mick Byrne was today announced as the Director of Cross Country and Track and Field for both men and women at top US college Wisconsin. The Prince has been the head coach of the Wisconsin men`s cross country teams since 2008 and has delivered great success these past five years, including the coveted NCAA title in 2011. He is quoted today: “This is a special day for me. I came to Wisconsin five years ago and fell in love with everything this university and this athletic program had to offer. To have the opportunity to lead not only our men’s distance runners but our entire track and field programs is truly a dream come true for me.”
