Clonliffe athletes were in fine form at today`s latest day of the GloHealth National Juvenile Championships taking home three National titles. Cathal Doyle won the National title as he ran away from the field in the U/19 3000 recording an excellent 8.44.43.
Hope Saunders put her disappointing run in last week`s 5000 well and truly behind her bouncing back in fine style to win the U/19 3000 title in 10.03.16.
In the sprints Caitlin O`Reilly was a class apart in the U/16 100 comfortably winning her semi in 12.39 and then going even faster in the final 12.13 to win gold.
Silver was taken by Greg Hossenny in the 5,000 race walk (28.58.88). In the U/18 3000 Adam O`Brien was just out of the medals placing 4th (9.03.11), while Kevin McKenna was 12th (10.09.05)
Also today in the Morton Stadium the IMC/Crusaders GV Ryan Meet took place. David Flynn was 10th in the 1500 in 3.55.87 and Mark McDonald 6th in the B 800 1.56.16. There was a fine pb ran by Eimer O`Brien in the 3000 of 9.57.82, a good run also from Louise Reilly of 10.04.66.
