Throwers top in Dublin seniors

Jun 20, 2010 [Noel Guiden] – (Updated Jun 21, 2010) The Dublin senior track and field championships took place in the stadium yesterday evening. Once again the Clonliffe throwers kept the Black and Amber flag flying with a one two in the discus 1st Tomas Rauktys (48.77), 2nd Luke Mangan (39.34). Leah Moore picked up silver in the 200m (24.83) and Ciara McCallion was also 2nd, in the 800m with 2.22.67. Jamie Rossister also picked up silver, the junior mile in 4.30.21, Conor McGuinness was 5th in that race with a new PB of 4.38.77. Eric McCann running his first race of the season was 10th in the 5,000 in 16.18.05. Ailish McDermott ran an excellent 3,000m PB of 10.18.8. In the 800m Stephan Harkness was 5th in 1.58.6 with Brett Paine 8th in 1.59.37. Finally tripple jumper Marco Mattizumo ran the 200 B race finishing 8th in 24.88.

On then to today`s Raheny Mid Summer`s 5k held in St. Annes where Joyce O`Hara (18:59) was 2nd lady , and Pat Bonass 1st O/65 (20:08) and 48th overall. Other Clonliffe results 22nd Maurice McCrohan (18:15),44th Paddy Tuite (19:47), 61st Richard Connolly (21:25), 65th Frank Devitt (21:38)
