Colm Rooney had a fine run in this afternoon`s 30th Gerry Farnan Cross Country in the Phoenix Park. This was Colm`s first open cross country since his come back and he put in a very solid performance to finish in 5th place in 25.18. A good outing also by Brian MacMahon (joint) 9th 25.40 and Jayme Rossister 24th (26.29). In the master`s race Philip O`Doherty was 6th O/50, 87th overall. It was also a good day for Aaron Hanlon who won selection for the Irish team travelling to Belgium for the Lotto Cross Country in two weeks by finishing 2nd in the junior men`s 6,000 (20.21). Sara McCormack was 7th in the women`s race (16.50).
