Round up: Gregan at 400, Pike, IMC middle distance and Gary

A busy day for Clonliffe track athletes today (Saturday)  both overseas and at home. First off in Geneva where Brian Gregan ran an impressive 400 season opener of 46.06 to place 2nd. Also in Geneva Keith Pike continued his excellent form running 10.81 to qualify for the C final and then running another fast 100 to finish 3rd in 10.73, a fraction off his club record. Later Keith ran the 3rd leg on the Irish 4 x 100 relay team that won in 39.89.

At the IMC/Crusaders Meet in perfect conditions in Irish town some excellent runs by Clonliffe athletes. Becky Woods ran her 2nd pb of the week (she pb`d over 1500 on Wednesday0  further lowering her two week old 800 pb to 2.09.13 as she placed 5th in a classy 800 A. Pb also for Jayme Rossiter in the 3000 finishing 3rd in 8.26.76. Aaron Hanlon ran 3.54.17 in the 1500, Eleanor Alexander 4.27.67 placing 2nd and in the 800s Kris Valters was 7th in the A race (1.52.34), an sb for Mark McDonald of 1.54.74 in the B race placing 7th with Andriu Jenkinson 8th in 1.55.52

And of course…Gary….Glenmore 10 Mile 1st Gary O`Hanlon 55.44.

Today (Sunday) at Raheny Mid Summer 4 Mile Kevin Sheehy was 21st (27.21) and Richard Connolly 34th (29.00)
