There was twin success for Clonliffe athletes in today’s Limerick Marathon. Tudor Mireca successfully defended his title winning in a time of 2:24.11 which is actually a full minute faster then his 2023 winning time. Yuliya Taravosa won the women’s race in 2:55.44. Also Callan Coughlan, on his debut in the Clonliffe colours, 2:58.40. In the half marathon Sergiu Ciobanu took 2nd place in a time of 68.46. Lee Duddy ran a huge marathon PB in Copenhagen recording a time of 3:07.12. Noel O’Dwyer was in Belfast running the Belfast city Marathon in a time of 3:14.28.
Also on the roads today the Dundalk 10K took place where there were a few Clonliffe athletes running: Joseph Cooper 39.22, Gareth Loy 40.01, David Brady 40.39, Tommy Griffin 42.38.
