Eugenia Bateson reports: Yesterday, March 23rd, was the first day of the National Juvenile Indoor Championships in Athlone.
A small matter of the Leaving Cert Orals unfortunately resulted in the withdrawal of the Boys 4 x 200 Relay Team
The Mixed U19 team of Emily Jachna, James Duane, Rebecca Walsh and Christopher Lynch ran in Heat 2 finishing in 2nd in a time of 1.41.18. Unfortunately as the results were on times they missed out on a National Medal finishing in 4th Overall.
In the first of what is sure to be many National Championships, U12 Boy, Isaac O’Neill finished 8th in the High Jump with a jump of 1.20.
Days 2 and 3 will be on 6th and 7th April.
