The fund raising table quiz takes place next week, Thursday January 16th. Tables going fast!
Sunday 2 February Albufeira, Portugal will be a proud and historic occasion for Clonliffe Harriers as for the first time in our long history both a men and women’s U/20 team will compete in the European champion clubs cross country championships. The teams qualified courtesy of 1st and 2nd positions respectively at the nationals in Irvinestown, Fermanagh last month, full squads of 6 athletes on both will travel.
In addition to the 2 teams taking part in the championship the club are availing of the opportunity to provide invaluable experience to some of the U/20 development athletes who will also travel and compete in the open race.
As club members will appreciate this is obviously going to be quite an expensive undertaking and with that in mind a fund raising quiz night has been arranged for January 16th with quizmaster extraordinaire Peter Bissett in the chair. These young athletes would very much appreciate the support of their clubmates. All can support by either taking a table on the night, donating a spot prizes or providing sponsorship (full details on the flyer below).
