Dec 11, 2006 [Noel Guiden] The Juvenile Uneven Ages National Cross Country Championships were also held on the 9th of December at Athlone. Our Boys U/17 Dublin Champions added the National Title with victory after very gutsy performances. There was carnage at the start of the race as a number of our fancied runners, including the individual champion in the Dublins, David Fitzmaurice, fell victim to the appalling conditions David finding himself on the ground and literally overrun by most of the field, he got himself up and back into the race to battle home to 12th making one of the scoring positions, along with Colm Murray 7th, Tony Kavanagh 13th and Mark McDonald 14th with Owen McDonnell 15th as the U/17’s added National Gold to their Dublin Gold.Becky Woods had a great run in the girls U/19 just out of the medals in 4th.Good run also by Jessa O`Neill to finish 15th in girls U/15.
