There was a battling performance today in Athlone by the U/18 4 x 400 team: Rapha Diamond-Ebbs, Rebecca Fitzsimons, Cliona Cooley and Hannah Browne, in the Nationals. The team placed just out of the medals in 4th place, after a great effort. Considering that the team includes both U/17 athletes and middle distance athletes it was a really good showing by the four.
The U/14 girls did brilliantly well to get through their heat into the final where they placed 8th.
