By way of update to May 1st with the ongoing Covit-19 Crises the following events have been deferred/cancelled:
May 4th Clonliffe 2, May 24th Clonliffe Juvenile Open Sports, July 10th Morton Games.
Clonliffe Grand Prix, the early rounds have been deferred (update coming soon).
All Schools Track & Field for this season have been cancelled.
Athletics Leinster have cancelled all events for May & June.
Dublin Athletics have cancelled the opening rounds of the Graded Series and Juvenile Track & Field League (will bring more updates on this when available).
KBC Dublin Race Series: the Fingal 4 Mile and South Dublin 10k have been reschuled to October 11th and November 29th.
Athletics Ireland have confirmed that Day 1 of the National League which was due to take place on May 17th has officially been postponed. ( Clonliffe’s view is that it is pretty certain that a similar fate awaits day 2 on June 21st and therefore the final will similarly fall)
No announcement as of yet from Dublin Athletics on either the Graded season or Juvenile Championships, however, looking at the approach adopted by Athletics Leinster looks unlikely there will be any events for May & June at least. (updates when to hand)
In the meantime all Clonliffe club activities remain suspended, athletes currently training under the instruction and guidance of their coaches are reminded of the importance of observing all Government and HSE safety and social distancing guidelines. Stay safe and well.
