On Friday evening, June 21st, Pat O’Grady finished 6th, and 1st M 60 in the Long Woman’s 5K run in the Cooley peninsula in a time of 16.13. 9th, David Brady 16.44 and 13th Lee Maginnis 17.0.
Saturday evening saw the Michael Manning Dunshaughlin 10k race where Sean Doran finished 14th (32.13), 74th Paul Keenan 35.11, Joseph Cooper 39.14, Tom Griffin 39.57 and Laura Kernan 45.49.
There was a great turnout of Clonliffe athletes for this morning’s National 5 mile in the Phoenix Park. Ian Guiden took national bronze (24.46), race winner in a repeat of the national 5K was Raheny’s Kieran Kelly. Sergiu Ciobanu was 9th and 1st M 40, Tom Sherlock 28th and Sean McGarrity in 35th made up the Clonliffe team that took team bronze behind Raheny 1st and Celbridge AC 2nd. The Clonliffe women’s team of Julie Larkin (31.58), Meghan O’Keeffe (32.29) and Aoife O’Reilly (32.39) finished in 5th place. The women’s W 50 team of Anne Lyons, 3rd W 55, Orla Deighnan and Caroline Daly finished in 4th position.
