Aside from today’s Novice Cross Country and yesterday’s club 10 mile also in action this weekend: Dave Fitzmaurice placed 16th in the Broad Street 10 Mile, Philadelphia in 49.40 this morning. Philip O’Doherty having sworn he’d never run a marathon finally succumbed and today ran the Manchester marathon with sub 3 the aim. Philip reports that all was going well on that front until mile 22 and then…..still 3.01.29 and 2nd M60 a fine debut (although at the minute he says “never again!”)
Yesterday along across the water Liam Roarty ran the first leg for Morpeth Harriers B team in the 6 stage relays at Sutton Park, Birmingham running 19.51 for his 6k.
