The weekend started on a beautiful Spring Saturday morning in St. Anne`s Park Raheny as the Clonliffe Junior women ventured into the Lion`s Den for a 9.30am Park Run. The girls all put in very good runs with several of the group well up on times posted in previous outings here. Ale Hernandez had a superb run to place 2nd woman and 11th overall in 19.24, the best part of a minute faster than she ran here last October. A PB also by Sarah Bateson 3rd woman in 20.06, 4th woman was Aiofe Hession 20.32, some 90 seconds faster than she last ran here, with Abbie Sheehy also running a big pb 5th women in 20.32. Next in was Alana Fitzsimons (21.10), Tess Loftus (22.24), Aimee Warren (22.42), Ella Cooley (23.50) and Cara Curran Beggs (24.46). Excellent stuff and also a great advertisement for the club with all 9 fully kitted out in their club vests!
Sunday the 25th saw some good performances from the middle/long distance group at the Dunboyne 4 Mile. Cathal Doyle was 8th (19.12), Adam O`Brien 11th (19.57), Ian Guiden 12th (20.00) and Sean Doran 18th (20.46). The lads took the team win with Adam also 1st junior man.
