Rolus Olusa was a silver medallist at the National Indoor Combined Events in AIT Athlone today. Over the five events Rolus amassed a total of 3354 points to finish runner up behind defending champion Shane Aston (Trim AC). Rolus took wins in the day`s first event the 60H (8.27) and the final event of the day the 1000 (3.00.75), in between he was 2nd in the long jump (6.38m) and high jump (1.71m) and 3rd in the shot (11.24m).
On the country the BHAA season continued in Firhouse with the Eir XC races, Sean Doran had a great run to 4th place (29.05) in the 5 mile over a tough muddy course and in the women`s 2.5 mile Yvonne McDonagh was 16th (14.45).
Also news just in of a fine win in the US Collegiate Indoor circuit on Saturday the 20th, by Aaron Hanlon in North Kingston, Rhode Island over 3000 in 8.36.88 to win this race for the 2nd year in a row.
