Sarah Bateson, the Clonliffe women’s officer, is delighted with the club’s response to the inaugural Clonliffe women in sport track races taking place in Morton Stadium tomorrow night, Thursday the 6th. The senior women’s 800 races will be preceded by a couple of juvenile races.
Athletes competing in the senior race should check in at the clubhouse from 7 PM and collect their race numbers. There is no check-in or race numbers in the juvenile races.
Timetable:
7.45pm: 100m (Gladys’ group)
7:50pm: 800m (Brendan/Colin and Graham/Noel’s groups)
8:00pm: women’s 800 – race 1
8:08pm: women’s 800 – race 2.

The races will be followed by a get together in the clubhouse for light refreshments and the prize-giving in the women’s race, kindly sponsored by Stephen Bateson.
Many thanks also to the big numbers of Clonliffe men prepared to give up their time to help out tomorrow night. Officials please report at 7:15 PM. Thanks also to the coaches for their cooperation to facilitate the running of this event. There will be no training permitted on the inside lanes from 7:45 PM until 8:15 PM, training can continue in the outer lanes. Groups who normally use the inside lanes in the 7:45 PM slot are asked to be on the track for 7 PM and off again at 7:45 PM.
