Efrem Gidley was in scintillating form at this morning’s Eirgrid Dunboyne 10k road race winning in an unbelievably fast time of 28.25. This was undoubtedly Efrem’s best performance in some time, clearly putting behind him now recent injury issues. Even more impressive was the fact that this very fast time was clocked by Efrem really unpressured as his nearest challenger finished almost a minute and three quarters behind. A fine run also in this race by Sean Doran finishing fifth in 31.26. Other Clonliffe Maura Matthews 42.11, Dave Comiskey 43.23, Marie Joyce 45.53, Emma Cooper 48.36.
Also today Tudor Mireca won the Wicklow Gaol half marathon in a ‘dip for the line’ with Sean Hehir (MSB) in 70.18 after a tough hilly 13.1 miles.
