Clonliffe looking to stay indoors this weekend! (updated)

A busy weekend on the boards in prospect with Clonliffe teams in action in round 2 of the Indoor League at Athlone IT on Saturday. The women`s team currently lying 7th on 36 points is confirmed as Emer O`Brien 1500m, Emma Kelly 400m, Snezana Bechtina 200m, Aursa Jerumbauskyte triple jump and Diana Markina high jump.

The men lead at present after round 1 on 99 points. The team for round 2 is: Isreal Ibeanu 200m, Kris Valters 400m, Andriu Jenkinson 1500m, Andri Minhan high jump and Antiono Andujar triple jump.

Also this weekend Brian Gregan will run indoors in New York at the New Balance Indoor Games on the Irish Medley Relay team running the opening 400m leg.

On Sunday the athletes will be back in Athlone where AAI Indoor Games take place. Clonliffe athletes running on Sunday include Dara Kervick and Timmy Crowe in the 400, Kris Valters and Mark McDonald in the 800, Christopher Sibandu doudles up in 60 and 200, Keith Pike also goes in the 60, Snezana Bechtina will run the 400, Becky Woods the 1500, Andrew Heney in the high jump and our pole vaulters Ian Rogers and Dave Donegan go head to head.
