Today’s new competition to the calendar, the AAI Summer Games took place at Carlow IT with the Clonliffe throwers very much at the business end of proceedings. Eoin Sheridan won the discus competition with a 50.51 best. Likewise Simon Galligan was in good form winning the hammer (59.66). Caoimhe Morris was also back in action placing 3rd in the hammer (39.23). Dave Donegan didn’t feature in the pole vault, whilst the only track athlete in action was Leo Morgan 6th in the 100 (11.22). In series 2 Leo improved considerably to 10.91.
